Local Mexican restaurant to take over vacant On the Border location

El Tenampa will open its third local location - in the beleaguered Boise Spectrum at Overland and Cole.

The new spot will be in the vacant 8,000 square foot On the Border, which closed more than a year ago.  The Spectrum is pock-marked with vacancies - including buildings that used to house Carino's, Fudruckers, and numerous vacancies in buildings adjacent to the 21-screen movie theater.  An extensive remodel of the buildings has not markedly increased vacancy rates.

El Tenampa's existing outlets are on Caldwell Blvd. in Nampa and Main St. in Meridian.
